The Galleria was finally developed by Gerald D. Hines after years of planning. One of the most distinctive features of the Galleria is its glass-roofed atrium, which is illuminated by three massive chandeliers. The Galleria has been expanded several times since its initial development and today covers over 3 million square feet of space.
